What this website stores in your browser, and why you have not been asked to accept anything.

No cookies, and no banner
Warm Home Support sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising network, no tag manager and no social media tracking on this site — so there is nothing to ask your permission for, and no consent banner in your way.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, which is then sent back on later visits. Cookies are how sites remember you are signed in — and also how advertising networks follow people between sites.
Under UK rules, cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for can be set without permission. Everything else — analytics, advertising, personalisation — needs your consent before it is set, not after.
What this site uses
Nothing in the second category, and at present nothing in the first either. Specifically, this site does not use:
- analytics of any kind, including privacy-focused analytics;
- advertising or remarketing tags;
- a tag manager;
- social media buttons or embedded feeds;
- embedded video from a third-party platform;
- a live chat widget;
- A/B testing or session recording tools.
That is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. It also happens to be the main reason the site loads as quickly as it does.
What the eligibility checker stores
The eligibility checker holds your answers in the page itself while you move between steps, so that going back does not lose what you have already entered. That information lives in the browser tab, is not written to a cookie or to browser storage, and disappears the moment you close or reload the page.
Hosting
The site is served by Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Requests to the server may be logged by the hosting provider for security and operational reasons, in the way any web server logs requests. That is separate from cookies and does not involve storing anything in your browser.
If this changes
If we later add anything that sets a non-essential cookie, we will update this page and add a proper consent mechanism that asks you before anything is set. We will not quietly add tracking and rely on a banner to cover it.
Managing cookies yourself
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies for individual sites, usually under privacy or site settings. Nothing on this site depends on cookies, so blocking them entirely will not affect how it works for you.
