Terms of use

These terms cover your use of this website and how far you can rely on the information published on it.

We are not the government

Warm Home Support is an independent heating-services website. We are not GOV.UK, Ofgem or a government department. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is administered by Ofgem, and the official guidance always takes precedence over anything summarised here.

About this website

This site is published by Warm Home Support and provides information about home heating, heat pumps and the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, together with a way to request a quotation or get in touch. By using the site you accept these terms.

Full company registration details will be published on the about page once registration is complete.

Information, not advice

Everything on this site is general information. It is not professional, financial or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for an assessment of your particular property by a qualified installer.

Heating decisions depend on the building, its existing system and its occupants. A page cannot see any of those. Where a decision matters, get a survey.

Scheme information and how current it is

Grant values, eligibility criteria and deadlines relating to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme are taken from official GOV.UK and Ofgem sources and were last checked on 5 September 2026. That date is shown on every page that discusses the scheme.

Scheme rules change, sometimes at short notice. We update this site when they do, but we cannot promise that every page reflects a change on the day it takes effect. Where our summary and the official guidance differ, the official guidance is correct. The sources we rely on are linked on each scheme page so you can check them yourself.

Eligibility checks are preliminary

The eligibility checker on this site is a preliminary indication based on the answers you give. It does not determine eligibility and it does not constitute an application.

Under the scheme, eligibility is assessed when an MCS-certified installer submits a voucher application with supporting evidence. Nothing on this site can promise a grant, a grant value, or that an application will succeed.

Enquiries and quotations

Submitting an enquiry or quote request through this site does not create a contract. Any work would be subject to a separate written quotation and terms agreed with you before it starts.

The forms on this site are not currently accepting submissions. See our privacy policy for what that means in practice.

Links to other sites

We link to official sources including GOV.UK, Ofgem and legislation.gov.uk. Those sites are operated by other organisations and we are not responsible for their content, though we do check that a link goes where we say it goes before publishing it.

Our content

The text, design, illustrations and code on this site belong to Warm Home Support unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to read, print and share pages for your own use, and to quote from them with attribution and a link. Republishing pages wholesale, or using this content to train a service that reproduces it, is not permitted.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or remove content without notice.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published here, and we would encourage you to verify anything that materially affects a decision against the official sources we cite.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above always shows the current version.
